The Story Begins By Nick I walked up to the store lady. “Is this for sale?” I asked. She just sat there and fell asleep. “This isn’t a very good store,” I said. “Everybody’s falling asleep. I’m going home.” 1 But when I was driving home, everything looked weird. There was no street lights, no sidewalks, and no stores. All of a sudden, there was just a long line of road. If you moved off the road, you would be falling forever. 2 I was so scared I would fall off, I accidentally hit the high speed button. The car went like crazy! It kept going , all the way to the end of the road! We were going to fall off! 3 I tried to stop it, but it fell! Luckily, we fell onto a piece of the earth. When I got out of my car, I saw nothing but deserts. I checked my fuel. It was empty. 4 I just had to walk. I walked and walked but got nowhere. I decided to fall off the piece of the earth I was standing on. 5 When I fell off, I transported back to the exact place I was standing before I fell. I wondered what was wrong. I tried it again, and then I knew the problem. 6 Someone gave me a watch that would make me stay on land when I tried to fall. Well, I have to walk across the desert, then. 7 Before you could say “booba-booba”’ I was out of the desert. I saw a little town I could stay at for the night. “Good thing I had a map in my car and took it out right before I left the desert”. I looked at the map. It said the town that I was looking at was Hong Kong. That’s a town in China. 8 Good thing my wife has a book about Chinese; and I’ve been reading it; and I brought it with me. Talking Chinese is going to be a piece of cake. I walked to the town. I met friends and I could speak their language. Talking to people in China WAS a piece of cake! Even some of them spoke English! 9 But I miss My wife and my sons Andy and Nick. I miss my whole family. I just wish there was some way I could get home. Just then, a portal came, and I went in it.. 10 Soon, I found myself riding home in my car. I pulled up into the driveway and went inside my house. “Hi kids!” “Hi Dad, why did you take so long?” “That’s my little secret“, I said. 11 The End
